Spring '25 Registration Open Thru Jan. 26
SPRING 2025 REGISTRATION OPEN NOW THROUGH JANUARY 26
We are excited to announce that all LYLC players will have four additional practices this pre-season. This was the top request from our end-of-year survey - to get more play time for the kids. Practices will be held on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays (1x a week per team, to be decided as we get closer) at Millworks in Westford. Your team's coach will share additional details. Practices will run from March 3rd to March 27th.
**Kindergarten Boys have their own in-town program if numbers permit**
This Spring there will be a separate, Kindergarten Boys program designed to teach the fundamental skills to play lacrosse. This is 100% in-town program, with no travel. Participants will practice on Saturday mornings throughout the outdoor lacrosse season, mastering the fundamentals of lacrosse via fun games and exercises, drills, small-sided play and scrimmages. Players will be provided with a stick by the program, cleats and mouth guards are recommended, but not necessary. Program begins in April, pending enough players for the program to happen.
Parent Leagues:
Continuing on for 2025 both girls and boys will be playing in the Mass Youth Lacrosse League. No separate registration is needed this year - it is all included!
Costs:
Registration fees for 2025 are $250 for all players 3rd grade and above. We are pleased that we can continue to offer a discounted rate of $150 for K12 players. Kindergarten boys in-town program will be $100. We have also instituted a family cap of $500 per season on registration fees. The additional cost for Mass Youth Lacrosse League for boys and girls is included in this fee.
Regular registration ends on January 26, 2025.
Priority:
We hope and expect to be able to accommodate everyone who wishes to play. However, should the LYLC need to limit enrollment for any reason, priority will be given to Littleton residents and students attending Littleton Public Schools and returning players. Should we need to cancel a completed registration, you will be notified in writing by January 31, 2025 and all fees paid to LYLC will be refunded.
Team formation:
There is a strong chance that we may have multiple teams at various age groups; players will be split up based on skill level to ensure talent is balanced across all teams (per Mass Youth Lacrosse guidelines).
Scholarship information:
Littleton Youth Lacrosse believes in providing the opportunity to play to all who desire it, regardless of financial circumstances. Scholarships covering registration fees are available. Please contact either VP for Boys. Mark Beckler (mjbeckler@hotmail.com) or Aaron Jodka (aaron_jodka@yahoo.com)
Girls Kindergarten Parents:
We are accepting U9 registrations for girls in kindergarten; the girls U-9 team will be comprised of players across K – 2nd grades. While we welcome their participation, we also want them to love the game and not feel overwhelmed by the level of play. We’ve found that while some kindergartners are ready, others would be better served waiting a year to begin competitive lacrosse. If you are having difficulty determining whether you should sign up your kindergartner, please be in touch and we’ll help you assess their readiness. **Kindergarten Boys will have their own in-town practice program, see above**
Uniform Information:
We have a new online uniform shop for Spring 2025 - new players will order their uniforms from the link provided in the registration confirmation email and returning players can order new uniforms with a chance to pick out their own new number (given it's available and not already ordered). To receive the uniforms before the season, the order must be submitted by February 14! We will be reminding you of this deadline often as it gets closer.
